The way up is sealed behind a rockfall and the way forward runs through a hag's woods. The crew meets a village of leshies — sunflowers, cactus folk, a pumpkin-headed scarecrow called Jack — and a moss-bearded elder who warns them a zombie horde is coming for the village by morning.
